Invoices
The Invoices page collects both the invoices issued to you when you pay for a lesson and any entries your tutor keeps for work arranged outside the platform.
Invoices for lessons you paid for
When you pay for a lesson and your tutor or school issues invoices through Matheia, a real invoice is created for you automatically — numbered, in the currency you paid in, and downloadable as a PDF. If they have it enabled, it is emailed to you as well. Should a payment be refunded, a credit note is issued against the original so your records match. Adding your billing details in Settings before you pay is what puts the right name and address on the document.
Entries your tutor tracks
Your tutor may also record invoices by hand for work paid outside Matheia. These carry a status — pending, sent, paid, or overdue — which your tutor updates as payments arrive. They are their own bookkeeping rather than tax documents, so if a status looks wrong, ask them directly.
Common questions
- Why does an invoice show a different name to mine?
- Invoices use the billing details saved in your settings at the time of payment. Update them before paying if they should show a company instead.
- I paid but see no invoice.
- Your tutor may not have invoicing connected, in which case none is issued. Ask them for a document if you need one.
- Can I get an invoice as a PDF?
- Yes. Invoices issued through Matheia can be downloaded from this page.
